There's the city we see, and the city we imagine. Join storyteller Dan Yashinsky as he tells his original folktale The Devil's Noodles at the corner of Beatrice and College, the site of the fondly remembered Lu Polentone cafe. The story is about the chef of that long-gone but fondly remembered café, a trickster named Renato who manages to outwit the Devil himself. The most outrageous thing about the story is that it happens to be true.
The story is about 20 minutes long, depending on how much grappa is available. If it is raining that day, perhaps we will adjourn to Il Gatto Nero café across the street. Afterwards, all are welcome to share memories of the cafe, the neighbourhood, or the devil.
