John Sewell will lead a walk beginning at 9.30 am at Parliament and Queen Streets, and ending at Parliament and Wellesley Street. The walk will include Trefann Court, where the idea that neighbourhoods are important first gained credence in the 1960s; through Regent Park South and North, touching on the redevelopment now underway; through the former Don Vale (now called Cabbagetown) with its gentrification and affordable housing, finishing on the edge of St. Jamestown, the extraordinary highrise development project of the 1960s. We will experience 150 years of Toronto history and political decision-making in a mere 90 minutes.
