Be ready for anything and everything on the day of your Jane’s Walk!
1. Have you checked your walk details on janeswalk.net?
Please make sure that the time, meeting point and map are correct. If they’re not, email your City Organizer or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), stating clearly the title of your walk and what you want to change.
2. Do you have an introduction for your Jane’s Walk?
People who join you for your walk might not know everything about Jane’s Walk, so we’ve prepared a short introduction for you, with answers to questions that might come up. You can download it here and bring it with you on the day.
3. Are you an iPhone user?
Get the free app, you’ll be able to tell your walk participants which walks to join after yours! Search for ‘Jane’s Walk’ in the App Store.
4. How will you be heard?
It is highly recommended to use a voice amplifier for groups above 15-20 people and in noisy environments such as a busy street. We list a range of options, from low to high-tech and home-made to rentals and buying options.
5. How will you be noticed by your group?
You could use a poster, banner, balloon, umbrella… If you come up with something creative, please send us a photo!
6. How will you share your experience?
We count on you to provide us with numbers of walkers! Please keep track of how many people come on your walk, we’ll ask you for it alongside other feedback elements. And you can also encourage participants to share their experience via social media: we’ve got a full set of social media tips on the website, we recommend to have a look at them now to be prepared for the big day.
7. Can you handle the weather?
Rain or shine, walks go on! Early May can be quite unpredictable, so you might want to think ahead about options for shelter on your route.
