Ann Peters - “I loved the Jane’s Walk in the Eglinton/Brimley area; not the first area you would think of when you imagine Toronto.  But look carefully and there are hidden gems: streetside murals, secret pathways, tiny jewel-like restaurants, all part of the microcosm of how the suburbs were built and function.”

Linda Weichel - “I love walking or biking through Grange Park just south of the Art Gallery of Ontario. It’s so peaceful, and yet has so much going on – people practicing Tai Chi, playing badminton or throwing a ball around, others sitting on benches eating their lunch, reading a book or taking a nap. A walking path curves and bends its way from the middle to the south end of the park. It’s a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of downtown Toronto.”

- “My favourite place to walk is Brockton Village in Toronto’s west end. It’s my own neighbourhood. Things are always changing – new shops, new homes, new people. Every time I walk I feel a deeper connection to my community and inevitably discover something I hadn’t really seen before.”

Chi Nguyen - “I love the walk along St Clair West and into the ravines around Bathurst & Spadina.  Or just walking through High Park around the Japanese gardens and then to this AMAZING tree by grenadier pond, it makes a great perch for people and bird watching.”

Mary Weins  “Walking a city is how you get to know it. On a walk of Cabbagetown, I met a choreographer, a couple of cops and a condo owner in Regent Park.  Long
live Jane’s Walk.”

Stephen Wickens - “I walk the Glebe and Upper Midway stretch of the Danforth in Toronto’s east end nearly every day, thinking about its inevitable revitalization and looking forward to May when we’ll do the Jane’s walk again, with fresh material. Special thanks to David Crombie and his Swansea Jane’s walk. It showed me how to make one work and gave me the courage to try.”
